Excellent read. This is a good story that keeps you guessing. Ann Stanmore

Murder in the Development is a well crafted mystery that kept me on the edge of my seat. Penelope Sotheby did an excellent job with her careful plotting. I liked the surprising twists that kept me guessing. The ending was a shocker. Rosemary

This book had lots of believable red herrings, and after I finished the book I had to go back and find one of the clues that pointed Diane in the right direction. sdgrandma

The story was filled with interesting ways our hero detective organized her research, raised an issue with behaviors related to “synesthesia,” and enough possible conclusions to make it interesting to the “Oh my, really!” end. I found Penelope’s characters, especially Diane Dimbleby (a good reason to read the whole series), were well developed and offered a nice twist to the Miss Marple-style detective. This was a great read! I am eager to check out the rest of the series… Kathleen C

I was going to save this book until I was on vacation. Thought I would just read a page or two….I was hooked from the beginning and had to finish it. It is so well written, the characters are nicely developed and interesting. Cannot wait to read more by Ms. Sotheby’s.  D. Seibert

There are many suspects to choose from and the culprit is not easily determined until the end of the book. Linda G
